30 Life Lessons I Wish I knew In my Twenties and Beyond.
When you’re in your 20s, there are some hard truths you wish you knew, but deep down, you know you probably wouldn’t have listened anyway.
Here are 30 lessons I eventually learned but wish I’d figured out sooner — sharing these hard-earned lessons in the hope that they’ll open your eyes like they did mine.
#1. Unless you master money, money will master you.
Make real distinctions between buying things you want vs. buying things you need.
One major life hack that has helped me save more money lately is learning to cook things I enjoy eating more than ordering take-out.
Not only I’ve saved a bunch of money (by switching to Geico 🤫), but I cooked much better now compared to pre-Covid.
Now I only buy things in bulk.
This mindset shift has led me to a complete 180 — to spend less and save more.
Because truth is, It won’t matter how much money you make if you’re not tracking your spending.
If you haven’t done this yet, start by tracking your spending regularly. You can download a free tracking app on your smartphone and check your finances weekly or monthly.
