Eckhart Tolle is a spiritual teacher who’s perhaps best known for his book, The power of now. Though, it was the released of his next book, — A New Earth that drawn greater attention into the works that he do.

This book had sold almost twice as many copies as the The Power the Now, and has been selected by Oprah as a must read.

A New Earth describes some of the central problems humanity faces over the years that can possibly be reassess to make the world a better place.

There are numerous highlights and lessons that stood out from reading this book. The four main ones are the following:

  • Don’t hold on to grudges, materialism, places and things that no longer serves you. Learn to let go, embrace your Life-situations.
  • Religion carries part of the problem, and it won’t help us save the world
  • Impermanence is the only constant. Don’t take life, nor yourself too seriously.
  • Accept your life-situation the way it is, as if you have chosen it. This is the only true way to enjoyment, and enlightenment.

Accept your life-situation the way it is, as if you have chosen it, said Tolle. This is the only true way to enjoyment, and enlightenment.

  • By accepting what is, one can understand that everything that happens — even things that appear to be negative in nature — is serving the ultimate evolution of consciousness.
  • When you move your awareness into the inner body, you allowed yourself to connect with a larger energy field, that is life itself.
