Emotion arises at the place where mind and body meet. You could even say it’s a reflection of the mind in the body, or the body’s reaction to the mind.

Love, joy, and peace are the three main aspects of our deep states.

They are the foundation to the inner connectedness with being — which arises from beyond the mind.

Children are often in that state because it’s our natural state.

And so, to feel an emotion, first start by focusing your attention on the inner energy field of the body — feel the body from within.

In her book, One Thousand Names for Joy, Byron Katie tells us, whenever she argues with reality she loses. But only every time.

And although it’s important to accept ourselves and our emotions, Eckhart Tolle also observed, it’s also really important to notice what behaviors and thoughts consistently lead to suffering and to quit doing those things and to quit thinking those thoughts.

He says it’s kind of like getting food poisoning from eating certain types of food but then, for some reason, you continue to eat those foods.

And, as a result, you’re sick again and again and again.
